isdrivenbytheenginethrougharubberdrivecoupling.Thehydraulicmotor
isdirectlycoupledtothedriveroller.
Theoperatormovesthemotioncontrolpedalsconnectedtothehydraulicpump
controlarmtocontrolthemachinedirectionandspeed.Withtheenginerunning
andthemotioncontrolpedalsintheNEUTRALposition,thehydraulicpump
suppliesnouidtothehydraulicmotor,sothatthemachineremainsstationary.
Whenoneofthemotioncontrolpedalsispressed,thetractioncablemovesthe
hydraulicpumpcontrolarm,hydraulicuidowsfromthehydraulicpumptothe
hydraulicmotorandsothatthehydraulicmotoroutputturnsthedriveroller.
Machinemovementoccursinthedirectionofthemotioncontrolpedalapplied.
The2foot-operatedmotioncontrolpedalsareoneithersideofthesteering
wheelcolumn.Thesepedalscontrolthemotionofthetractionroller.Thepedals
areconnectedtoacommonpedalrodpivotsothatbothmotioncontrolpedals
cannotbepresseddownatthesametime.Pressingtheright-handmotion
controlpedalwillmovethemachinetotheright,andpressingtheleft-hand
motioncontrolpedalwillmovethemachinetotheleft.Thefartherthepedalis
pressed,thefasterthemachinewillmoveinthatdirection.
Mostofthetractioncontrolsystemcomponentsareattachedtothebottomof
thechassis.Themotioncontrolpedalsextendthroughthechassis,asdoesthe
