ThetractioncircuitoftheGreensPro1260machinesisaclosedloopsystemthat
includesthehydraulicpump,hydraulicmotor,hydraulictank,hydraulicuidlter,
andaseriesofhydraulichoses(Figure13).Ifacomponentfailureoccursinthe
tractioncircuit(e.g.,hydraulicpumporhydraulicmotor),unwantedmaterial
andcontaminationfromthedamagedcomponentwillcirculatethroughoutthe
tractioncircuit.Thiscontaminationcandamageothercomponentsinthecircuit,
soremovethecontaminationtopreventadditionalcomponentfailure.
Therecommendedmethodtoremovecontaminationfromthetractioncircuitis
totemporarilyinstallaT orohighowhydraulicuidlterintothecircuit;referto
HighFlowHydraulicFilterKit(page2–13).Ifatractioncircuitfailureissuspect,
theltershouldbeinstalledbeforeconnectinghydraulictestgaugestotest
tractioncircuitcomponentsorafterreplacingafailedtractioncircuitcomponent.
Thelterwillensurethatcontaminatesareremovedfromtheclosed-loop
tractioncircuit,preventingadditionalcomponentdamage.RefertoFiltering
theClosed-LoopTractionCircuit(GreensPro1260)(page5–39)foradditional
informationonusingtheT orohighowhydraulicuidlter.
Note:Iftractioncircuitcontaminationexists,thetractionpumpdraincouldallow
contaminatestoenterthehydraulictank.
ThealternativetousingtheT orohighowhydrauliclterkitafteratractioncircuit
componentfailurewouldbetodisassemble,drainandthoroughlycleanallthe
components,thehydraulictank,andthehydraulictubesandhosesinthetraction
circuit.Ifanydebrisremainsinthetractioncircuitandthemachineisoperated,
thedebriscancauseadditionalcircuitcomponentfailures.
