FilteringtheClosed-LoopTractionCircuit(GreensPro1260)
Filteringaclosed-loophydraulicsystemafteramajorcomponentfailure
(e.g.,hydraulicpumporhydraulicmotor)isrequiredtopreventdebrisfrom
transmittingthroughoutthesystem.Ifalteringtoolisnotusedtoensurethe
systemcleanliness,repeatfailuresandsubsequentdamagetootherhydraulic
componentsinthesystem,willoccur.T oeffectivelyremovethecontamination
fromtheclosed-looptractioncircuit,useofaTorobidirectionalhighowhydraulic
lterandhydraulichosekitisrecommended;refertoHighFlowHydraulicFilter
Kit(page2–13).
1.Parkthemachineonaclean,levelsurfacewiththeengineoff.Lowerand
lockthetransportwheels(driverollerofftheground).
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page5–35).
3.Installatemporaryhydrauliclterdirectlyupstreamofthenewcomponentas
follows:
A.Ifthehydraulicpumpwasservicedorreplaced,removethetransmission
coveranddisconnectthehoseatthepump“A”port(Figure30).
B.Ifthehydraulicmotorwasservicedorreplaced,disconnectthehose
atthemotor“A”port(Figure30).

4.ConnecttheTorohighowhydrauliclterinseriesbetweenthedisconnected
ttingandhose.Usethehydraulichosekittoconnecttheltertothe

hoseconnectionsareproperlytightened.
