4.Positionthesprocketinthedrivechain.Movethetransmissiontowardthe
mountingbracketwhileguidingthesprocketontotheoutputshaft.
5.Securethetransmissiontothemountingbracketandlowerthetransmission
mountwiththebolts,locknuts,andatwashers.
6.Securethesprockettothetransmissionoutputshaftwiththeretainingring
(item11inFigure34).
Note:Iftheidlerarmassemblyrequiresservice;refertoDriveChainIdler
Arm(GreensPro1240)(page7–13).
7.Installtheatwasherandhexnut(item14and15inFigure34)ontheidler
adjustmentrod.Threadthenut32mm(1.25inches)ontotherod.
8.Installtheidlerarmassemblywiththebolt,atwashers,pivotbushing,
spacer,andlocknut.Donotadjusttheidleradjustmentrod(chaintension)
atthistime.
9.Installthecompressionspring(item3inFigure34),spacer,andhexnut
ontheidleradjustmentrod.
10.Connectthetransmissioncollartothedrivecoupling(item1inFigure33)
withthebolts,atwashers,spacers,andlocknuts.Tightenthelocknutsto23
to29N∙m(17to21ft-lb).
IMPORTANT
Topreventdamagetothedrivecoupling,ensurethatnodistortion
ofcouplingexistsaftersecuringthetransmissioncollartothe
coupling.Ifcouplingdistortionisevident,loosenthetransmission
and/orengineandpositionthetransmissionand/orengineonframe
sothatthecouplingisnotdistorted.
11.Tightenthetransmissiondrivecollarsetscrew.
