AssociationbetweenRemoteandBaseUnitis
establishedatthefactory;however,theremaybe
instancesintheeldwhenaHandheldRemoteand
aBaseUnitmustbereassociated.Whennecessary,
Associationcanbeperformedasdescribedbelow .
AssociateMode(Remote
↔ BaseUnitAssociation)
1.PresstheE-Stopbuttontoremovepowerfromthe
baseunitandmakesurethehandheldisOFF .
2.Standnearthebaseunitinclearlineofsight.
3.Simultaneouslypressandcontinuetoholdthe
ON/OFFandtheALLSTOPbuttons.
TheHandheldRemotegoesthroughitsinitialization
screensandsettlesonASSOCPENDING.
4.Continuetoholdbothbuttonsandthenquickly
releasethemwhenASSOCACTIVEisdisplayed
(approximatelyfour(4)seconds).
Note:Ifthebuttonsarepressedtolong,
WAITINGFORBASEwillbedisplayed.
5.Releasethetwobuttons.Thedisplayswillshow
CLRCHANSCAN.TheHandheldRemotescans
allavailablechannelsandchoosesthechannelwith
theleasttrafc.
6.PressandholdtheSTOREbutton
.The
HandheldwilldisplayPOWUPBUNIT.Continue
toholdtheSTOREbutton.
7.PulloutontheE-StopbuttontopoweruptheBase
Unit.TheHandheldwillAssociate(link)withthe
BaseUnit.Uponsuccess,thedisplaywillshow
ASSOCSUCCESS.
8.ReleasetheSTOREbutton.
Note:TheHandheldRemoteandBaseUnitlinkcan
beviewedbyholdingdowntheALLSTOP .

OPTIONSTOP
buttonsatthesametime.The
displaywillcycleandindicatetheselectedchanneland
theIDoftheBaseUnit.
FloorStart
UponinitiallypressingFloorStart(wheretheoor
isnotrunning),theHandhelddisplayshowsthe
storedsettingandduringthistimeanOFFcommand
iscontinuouslysenttotheBaseUnittoensurethe
outputremainsOFF.Inthispreviewmode,anSis
displayedafterFLR–FLRSisdisplayed—indicating
theHandheldisinaSETONLYmode.Inthispreview
mode,thesettingcanbeadjustedupordownasdesired
usingtheIncreaseFloorSpeedandDecreaseFloor
Speedbuttons,buttheactualoutputattheBaseUnit
remainsOFF.Thisisusefulasitallowstheoperatorto
presetadesiredoorspeedsetting,orusethestored
setting,withoutcausingunwantedmovement.Upon
settlingonadesiredspeed,theFLOORSTARTbutton
canbepressedagaincausingtheBaseUnitoutputto
ramptothechosensetting.PressingFLOORSTART
forathirdtimecausesthecurrentvaluetobestored
inmemory.
Note:ChangestotheFloorsettingswhiletheFloor
isrunningareimmediatelyeffective,buttheyare
temporaryunlessthesettingisstored.Forinstance,
anadjustmentismadewhilethedisplayshowsFLRS,
theFloorisstartedrampingtotheadjustedsetting,
andthentheHandheldRemoteisturnedoff(powered
down)withoutstoringthechange.Thesettingwill
reverttothepreviouslystoredvaluewhenthenexttime
theHandheldRemoteisused.
Note:Aten(10)secondtimerstartswhentheFLOOR
START
buttonispressedandFLFS(SETONLY
mode)displays.Ifabuttonpressisnotsensedduring
thetensecondinterval,thedisplayrevertstoFLRand
thepreviousstate/valuedisplaysandisenforced.The
timerresetstotensecondsifanybuttonispressed
whiletheHandheldisintheSETONLYmode.
ChangeorStoreFloorSpeedSetting
ThestartingspeedfortheFloorcanbechangedat
will.Whenchanged,thenewvalueisnotstoredinthe
currentworkingmemoryunlesstheALLSTART
buttonorFLOORSTARTbuttonispressed
againwhiletheFloorisactive.Thestoredvalueis
usedanytimethereafterwhentheALLSTART
ispressedorwhentheSTARTFLOORispressed.To
changethevalue
1.PresstheFLOORSTARTbutton.The
previewvaluedisplays.
2.Adjustthecommandtothedesiredspeedsetting
usingtheINCREASEFLOORSPEED
buttonortheDECREASEFLOORSPEED
buttonwhilewatchingthedisplay.
