ChanginganOutsideTire
1.Keepthemachineattachedtothetowvehicle,remove
anyoptions,andapplytheemergencybrake.
2.Removeallmaterialfromthehopper.
3.Blockthetiresontheoppositesideoftheattire.
4.Loosenthesixwheelboltsontheattirewithalug
wrench,butdonotremovethem.
5.Hoistorjackthemachineuntilthetireisofftheoor
orground.Ensurethatthemachineisstable.
6.Removetheloosewheelboltsandremovethetire.
7.Repairthedamagedtire.
8.Reinstallthetireontothemachinebyreversingthe
abovesteps.
Note:Ensurethatthewheeliscenteredonthehub
andallsixwheelboltsaretight.Torqueinacrossover
patternto100ft-lb(13.8kg-m).
ChanginganInsideTire
1.Keepthemachineattachedtothetowvehicle,remove
anyoptions,andapplytheemergencybrake.
2.Removeallmaterialfromthehopper.
3.Blockthetiresontheoppositesideoftheattire.
4.Onthesidewiththetiretobechanged,remove
thefour5/8inchboltsholdingthewalkingbeam
suspension'sbearingstothechassis.(Loosenbut
donotremovetheoutsidewheelnutstogivemore
clearanceforbearingbolts).
5.Hoistorjackthemachineuntiltheinsidetireand
walkingbeamaxleassemblycanberolledoutfrom
underneath.Ensurethatthemachineisstable.
6.Removethetire.
7.Repairthedamagedtire.
8.Reinstallthetireontothemachinebyreversingthe
abovesteps.
Note:Ensurethatthewheeliscenteredonthehub
andallsixwheelboltsandthebearingboltsaretight
to100ft-lb(13.8kg-m).
TrackingtheConveyorBelt
Iftheconveyorbeltisnotcenteredandtrackstooneside,it
needstobeadjusted(Figure46).Thebesttimetodothisis
betweenloadsduringoperation.
1.Gototherearofthemachineanddeterminewhich
sideofthebeltistouching.
2.Gotothefrontonthesameside,loosenthelocking
nut,andtightentheadjusternutbyonequarterturn.
3.Tightenbothlockingnutsbeforerunningthemachine.
4.Loadthemachinewithmaterialandruntheload
throughuntilempty.Repeatmultipletimes.
5.Stopthebeltandgototherearofthemachineto
observetheresults.
Youmayneedtorepeattheabovestepsseveraltimes
untilthebeltbeginstomoveandtrackproperly.
Note:Thebeltmaymoveslightlydependingonthe
typeofloadanditsposition.Ifthebeltisnottouching
thesiderails,youdonotneedtotrackthebelt.
Important:Donotadjustthebelt’sreardrive
roller.Itissettofactoryspecications.Contact
yourauthorizedTorodistributorifadjustmentis
required.
