3.Blockthetiresontheoppositesideoftheat
tire.
4.Onthesidewiththetiretobechanged,remove
the4boltsholdingthewalkingbeamsuspension
bearingstothechassis.(Loosenbutdonot
removetheoutsidewheelnutstogivemore
clearanceforbearingbolts).
5.Hoistorjackthemachineuntiltheinsidetire
andwalkingbeamaxleassemblycanberolled
outfromunderneath.Ensurethatthemachine
isstable.
6.Removethetire.
7.Repairthedamagedtire.
8.Installthetireontothemachinebyreversingthe
abovesteps.
Note:Ensurethatthewheeliscenteredonthe
hubandall6wheelboltsandthebearingbolts
aretightto135N-m(100ft-lb).
TrackingtheConveyorBelt
Iftheconveyorbeltisnotcenteredandtracksto1
side,itneedstobeadjusted(Figure58).Thebest
timetodothisisbetweenloadsduringoperation.
1.Gototherearofthemachineanddetermine
whichsideofthebeltistouching.
2.Gotothefrontonthesameside,loosenthe
lockingnut,andtightentheadjusternutby1
quarterturn.
3.Tightenbothlockingnutsbeforerunningthe
machine.
4.Loadthemachinewithmaterialandruntheload
throughuntilempty.Repeatmultipletimes.
5.Stopthebeltandgototherearofthemachine
toobservetheresults.
Youmayneedtorepeattheabovestepsseveral
timesuntilthebeltbeginstomoveandtrack
properly.
Note:Thebeltmaymoveslightlydepending
onthetypeofloadanditsposition.Ifthebeltis
nottouchingthesiderails,youdonotneedto
trackthebelt.
Important:Donotadjustthereardriveroller
ofthebelt.Itissettofactoryspecications.

Checkandadjustthebelttensionfrequently(Figure
58).Allrubberconveyorbeltswillstretch,especially
whentheyareneworhavenotbeenusedforawhile.
1.Parkthemachineonlevelgroundwiththerear
gateandfeedgateatleast6.25mm(1/4inch)
offtheoor(dependingonthematerial).
2.Fullyloadthemachinewithsandthatyouexpect
themachinetouse.
3.Removetheblackfrontcoversoneithersideof
themachine.
4.Using2wrenches,holdtheendofthetensioner
rodstationary,whilelooseningthelockingnut
closesttotheendoftherod.
5.Movethelockingnutback2–5cm(1–2inches).

partswithsafetyguardsremoved.
