Iftheconveyordrivechainisloose,itneedstobe
tightened(Figure62).
1.Shutofftheengineofthetowvehicleand
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Removetherearconveyordriveguard.
3.Loosentheboltthatgoesthroughthetensioner
sprocket.
4.Tightenthepositivelockingscrewusing
moderateforce.
5.Tightenthetensionersprocketbolt.
6.Checkthatthechainissufcientlylubricated,
andthatthesprocketsaresecuretotheshafts.
7.Replacetherearconveyordriveguard.
CAUTION
Donotovertensionthechain.Leave
justenoughtensiontotakeuptheextra
slack.

Adjusttheelectricbrakesaftertherst3months
ofoperation,orsoonerdependingonuseor
performance.
1.Jackupthemachinesecurely.
2.Ensurethatthewheelanddrumrotatefreely.
3.Removetheadjustingholecoverfromtheslot
onthebottomofthebrakebackingplate.
4.Withascrewdriver,rotatethestarwheelofthe
adjusterassemblytoexpandthebrakeshoes
(Figure63).

yourbrakeshoesandlinings.
Whenabrakeshoebecomesworn,replaceboth
shoesoneachbrake,andbothbrakesonthesame
axle.Thisensuresthatthebrakesremainbalanced.
