forthersttime.
10.Settheelectricbrake(ifsoequipped)asfollows:
Beforeoperatingthemachineforthersttime,
theelectricbrakesmustbesynchronizedtothe
towvehicle’sbrakes(sothattheyoperateatthe
sametime).
Themachineandthetowvehiclewillseldom
havethecorrectamperageowtothebrake
magnetstoprovidecomfortable,safebraking.
Changingtheloadweight,aswellasuneven
alternatorandbatteryoutput,canresultin
unstablecurrentowtothebrakemagnets.
TheLoadControlcompensatesfortrailerload
variationsbylimitingthemaximumtorque
outputofthebrakesbyaddingdropping
resistanceintheelectricalcontrolline.When
towingatrailerloadedtobrakeratedcapacity,
theLoadControlmustbesetatmaximum
braking.Whenpullinganemptyorpartially
loadedtrailer,theLoadControlmustbeset
betweenmaximumandminimumbrakingata
positionjustbeforethepointatwhichtrailer
tireskiddingoccurswhenactuatingthehand
controlfullyon.Failuretoinstallandusethe
ElectricLoadControlwillresultinexcessive
braketorquewhenstoppingatrailerloadedto
lessthanbrakecapacity.
CAUTION
Ifyouhearanoisefromthetowvehicle
hydraulicsandthemachinecontrolsdonot
operate,thehoseshavebeenconnected
incorrectlyandmustbereversed.
