Note:Itisrecommendedthatfreshsparebatteriesbe
athandatalltimesthatthesystemisinuse.
Note:Atsomepoint,theHandheldRemotemaysense
thatthevoltageisatthelowthreshold(approximately
1.7V)atwhichthedisplaywillshowthemessageLOW
BATTERY .Themessagewillcyclewiththecurrent
displaymessageatperiodicintervalswhiletheunit
isused.Whendisplayed,theoperatorhasalimited
timeapproximatelyten(10)hourstopowerdown
thesystembeforetheremotewillautomaticallypower
downatwhichpointthebatteriesmustbereplaced.
Batteriesshouldbechangedsoonafterthedisplay
showstherstlowbatterywarning.Thewarningwill
periodicallyashacrossthedisplayasLOWBATTERY
whiletheunitisinuse.TheHandheldRemotecan
beusedforapproximatelyten(10)hours(assuming
backlightisoff)beforeultimatelypoweringdowntoa
nonoperationalconditionatwhichtimethebatteries
mustbereplacedwithfour(4)freshAAalkaline
batteries.
InstallorReplacetheBatteries
1.PlacetheRemotefacedownandremovethefour
screwsholdingthebatterycoverinplace.Remove
thebatterycover.
Note:Thefourscrewsholdingthebatterycover
inplaceare‘captive’tothecover—thecover
holesarethreaded.Althoughtheyarenoteasily
removedfromthecoveritself,beawarethatthe
screwsifoverloosenedwhileopeningthebattery
compartmentcanbecompletelyremovedincreasing
theriskofloss.
2.Removethedischargedbatteriesandproperly
disposeinaccordancewithlocalregulations.

4.Replacethebatterycover.Securethecoverwiththe
fourscrews.Makesuretheyaretightenedenoughto
compresstheseal,butbecarefulnottoovertighten.
HandheldRemoteCare
ThoughtheHandheldRemoteisrugged,careshould
betakennottodroptheunitontohardsurfaces.To
cleantheRemote,useasoftclothmoistenedwithwater
oramildcleaningsolutiontowipeitpayingparticular
attentiontoavoidscratchingtheLCD(LiquidCrystal
Display)screen.

anditisperformedwhiletheHandheldRemoteisin
