Note:Beforeslidingthereardriverollerbackup
throughtheslotandintoplace,ensurethatyou
havealreadyinstalledthefourbolts(fromtheinside
facingout)forconnectingthepillowblockbearings.
Otherwise,youwillhavetoremovethedriverollerto
gainenoughclearancetoinstallthesebolts.
Wheninstallingthereardriveroller,ensurethatthe
shaftconnectingtothemotorisontheleftside.Ithasa
keyholecutintoitforsecuringthedrivesprocket.
Beforeapplyingtensionwiththetensionerrodsatthe
frontofthemachine,useyourhandstomanuallycenter
thebeltatthefrontandrear.
Trackandtensionthebeltbyfollowingtheinstructions
intheMaintenanceSectionofthemanual.
Thefrontidlerandreardriverollersprovideexcellent
tractionforpullingthebeltunderload,sodonot
overtightenorstretchthebelt.
Applysiliconesealertotherearsideofthemetalrails
andatthetwofrontcornersoftheoorwheretherails
meet.Thesealerdeectsanymaterialfromgettingpast
therails.
AdjustingtheConveyorDrive
Chain
Iftheconveyordrivechainisloose,itneedstobe
tightened(
Figure50).
1.Turnoffthetowvehicleandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Removetherearconveyordriveguard.
3.Loosentheboltthatgoesthroughthetensioner
sprocket.
4.Tightenthepositivelockingscrewusingmoderate
force.
5.Tightenthetensionersprocketbolt.
6.Checkthatthechainissufcientlylubricatedandthe
sprocketsaresecuretotheshafts.
7.Replacetherearconveyordriveguard.
CAUTION
Donotovertensionthechain.Leavejust
enoughtensiontotakeuptheextraslack.

AdjustingtheElectricBrakes
Adjusttheelectricbrakesaftertherstthreemonthsof
operation,orsoonerdependingonuseorperformance.
1.Jackupthemachinesecurely.
2.Ensurethatthewheelanddrumrotatefreely.
3.Removetheadjustingholecoverfromthesloton
thebottomofthebrakebackingplate.
4.Withascrewdriver,rotatethestarwheelofthe
adjusterassemblytoexpandthebrakeshoes
