PreparingtoOperatethe

1.Filltheseedhopperatleast30%full;referto
FillingtheSeedHopper(page8).
2.Settheseedinggauges;refertoControls(page
5).
3.Performthefollowingchecks:
•Checktheslicingdiscsfordamageand
repairthem,ifnecessary.
•Checkwhetherthepassagewaytothe
sowingelementsisnotblocked(e.g.,funnels
orsowingpipes).
•Checkwhetherthemachineisnotwetor
damp,predominantlyinthesowingsystem.
•Checktheeffectivenessofthesowing
systembyrotatingtherunneronce
(counter-clockwise).
•Checkwhetherthedriverunssmoothly.
TransportingtheMachine
•Raisetheattachmentbeforetransportingthe
machine.
•Toavoidlossofcontrol,moveacrosssteep
inclinesslowly,approachroughareasatreduced
speed,andcrosssevereundulationscarefully.
•Theuserisresponsiblefortransportingthe
machineonpublicroads.Verifythelocal
legislationregardingtheregulations.
Important:Donotexceedtransportspeedsof
20km/h(12.4mph).
PracticingtheOperating
Procedures
Beforeusingtheattachment,ndaclearareaand
practiceoperatingthetractionunitwiththeattachment
installed.
Important:Iftherearesprinklerheads,electrical
orcommunicationlines,orotherobstructions
inthearea,marktheselocationstoensurethat
theseitemsarenotdamagedduringoperation.
•Operatethetractionunitusingtherecommended
gearsettingsandbecomethoroughlyfamiliarwith
thetractionunithandlingwiththeattachment.
•Practicestoppingandstarting,raisingthe
attachment,loweringtheattachment,andaligning
theattachmentwithpreviouspasses.
Practicesessionshelpsyougaincondenceinthe
performanceoftheattachmentandhelpsensurethat
youareusingitproperly.
WARNING
Adjustingormaintainingtheattachmentwhile
thetractionunitisrunningmayresultinan
accidentandsevereinjuryordeath.
•Beforeleavingtheoperator’sseat,engage
theparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostop.
•Lowertheattachmentontothestorage
standsorappropriateblockingorjacks
repairingtheattachment.
•Ensurethatallsafetydevicesaresecured
inproperplacebeforeresumingoperation.
