1.Shutoffthepolesaw;refertoShuttingOffthePoleSaw
(page9).
2.Checktheoillevelinthewindow.Iftheoildoesnotllthe
window,addbarandchainoilasneeded(Figure13).

5.Unfoldthewing-nuttabontheoilcaptab,removethecap,
andpourbarandchainoilintothepolesawuntiltheoillls
thetank(Figure13).
Important:Donotllthepolesawhigherthanthe
bottomofthellneck.
6.Cleanupanyspilledoil,securetheoilcap,andfoldthe
wing-nuttabdown.
7.Ensurethatoilisowingtothechain;refertoCheckingthe
FlowofBarandChainOil(page11).

2.Toensurethatoilisowingtothechain,pointthenose
ofthepolesawafewinchesfromasurface(e.g.paper,
cardboard,astump)andrunthepolesaw;youshouldbe
abletoseealightsprayofoilonthesurface(Figure14).
