1.Workareasafety
A.Keeptheworkareacleanandwelllit.Clutteredor
darkareasinviteaccidents.
B.Donotoperatepowertoolsinexplosive
atmospheres,suchasinthepresenceofammable
liquids,gasses,ordust.Powertoolscreatesparks,
whichmayignitethedustorfumes.
C.Keepchildrenandbystandersawaywhileoperating
apowertool.Distractionscancauseyoutolose
control.
D.Keepthecableawayfromthecuttingarea.During
operationthecablemaybehiddeninshrubsandcan
beaccidentallycutbythesawchain.
2.Personalsafety
A.Stayalert,watchwhatyouaredoing,anduse
commonsensewhenoperatingapowertool.Do
notuseapowertoolwhileyouaretiredorunder
theinuenceofdrugs,alcohol,ormedication.A
momentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmay
resultinseriouspersonalinjury.
B.Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwayswear
eyeprotection.Protectiveequipmentsuchaslong
pants,dustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,hardhat,
orhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditions
reducespersonalinjuries.Useofrubberglovesis
recommended.
C.Dressproperly.Donotwearlooseclothingor
jewelry.Keepyourhair,clothing,andglovesaway
frommovingparts.Looseclothes,jewelry,orlonghair
canbecaughtinmovingparts.Adequateprotective
clothingwillreducepersonalinjurybyyingdebrisor
accidentalcontactwiththesawchain.
D.Alwaysuseheadprotectionwhenoperatingthe
polesawoverhead.Fallingdebriscanresultinserious
personalinjury.
E.Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensurethatthe
switchisintheOFFpositionbeforeconnectingto
thepowersource,orpickinguporcarryingthe
powertool.Carryingpowertoolswithyourngeron
theswitchorenergizingpowertoolsthathavethe
switchoninvitesaccidents.
F.Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturning
onthepowertool.Awrenchorakeyleftattachedto
arotatingpartofthepowertoolmayresultinpersonal
injury.
G.Donotoverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalance
atalltimes.Thisenablesbettercontrolofthepower
toolinunexpectedsituations.
H.Ifdevicesareprovidedfortheconnectionofdust
extractionandcollectionfacilities,ensurethat
theseareconnectedandproperlyused.Usingadust
collectorcanreducedust-relatedhazards.
I.Keephandsandfeetawayfromthecuttingarea.
J.Donotletfamiliaritygainedfromfrequentuseof
toolsallowyoutobecomecomplacentandignore
toolsafetyprinciples.Acarelessactioncancause
severeinjurywithinafractionofasecond.
K.Donotallowchildrenoruntrainedpeopletooperate
orservicethisdevice.Allowonlypeoplewhoare
responsible,trained,familiarwiththeinstructions,
andphysicallycapabletooperateorservicethe
device.
3.Powertooluseandcare
A.Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpower
toolforyourapplication.Thecorrectpowertoolwill
dothejobbetterandsaferattherateforwhichitwas
designed.
B.Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturn
itonandoff.Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolled
withtheswitchisdangerousandmustberepaired.
C.Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourcefrom
thepowertoolbeforemakinganyadjustments,
changingaccessories,orstoringpowertools.Such
preventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstarting
thepowertoolaccidentally.
D.Storeidlepowertoolsindoors,outofthereachof
children,anddonotallowpersonsunfamiliarwith
thepowertoolortheseinstructionstooperatethe
powertool.Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsof
untrainedusers.
E.Maintainpowertools.Checkformisalignmentor
bindingofmovingparts,breakageofparts,andany
otherconditionthatmayaffecttheoperationofthe
powertool.Ifthepowertoolisdamaged,haveit
repairedbeforeuse.Manyaccidentsarecausedby
poorlymaintainedpowertools.
F.Keepcuttingtoolssharpandclean.Properly
maintainedcuttingtoolswithsharpcuttingedgesare
lesslikelytobindandareeasiertocontrol.
G.Usethepowertool,accessories,andtoolbits,etc.
inaccordancewiththeseinstructions,takinginto
accounttheworkingconditionsandtheworkto
beperformed.Useofthepowertoolforoperations
differentfromthoseintendedcouldresultinahazardous
situation.
H.Keepguardsinplaceandinworkingorder.
I.Keephandlesandgraspingsurfacesdry,clean
andfreefromoilandgrease.Slipperyhandlesand
graspingsurfacesdonotallowforsafehandlingand
controlofthetoolinunexpectedsituations.
4.Electricalsafety
Electricalspecications:120V~60Hz6.5A
A.GroundFaultCircuitInterrupter(GFCI)protection
shouldbeprovidedonthecircuit(s)oroutlet(s)tobe
usedforthepowertool.Receptaclesareavailable
havingbuilt-inGFCIprotectionandmaybeusedfor
thismeasureofsafety.
B.Toreducetheriskofelectricshock,thispowertoolhas
apolarizedplug(onebladeiswiderthantheother)
andwillrequiretheuseofapolarizedextensioncord.
Thepowertoolplugwilltintoapolarizedextension
cordonlyoneway.Iftheplugdoesnott,obtaina
correctpolarizedextensioncord.Apolarizedextension
cordwillrequiretheuseofapolarizedwalloutlet.This
