Contactwiththepolesawteethcancauseseriouspersonalinjury.
•Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourcebeforeadjustingormaintainingthepolesaw.
•Alwaysweargloveswhenadjustingormaintainingthepolesaw.
1.Placethepolesawonaatsurfaceandensureitisdisconnectedfromthepowersource.
2.Removethesidecover;turnthebarcoverknobcounterclockwiseuntiltheknobisremovedandthenremovethesidecover

3.Placethechainaroundthesprocketonthefrontendoftheguidebar,withthecuttingedgeofthechainteethonthetopofthe
barfacingforwardasshowninthediagrambeneaththesidecoverofthepolesaw.
4.Continuetofeedthechainaroundtheguidebarandalignthechainintothegrooveoftheguidebar.
5.Positiontheopenloopofthechain(thesidenotontheguidebar)aroundthedrivesprocketonthepolesaw(Figure3).
Important:Ensurethatthechainadjustingstudisinsertedintothechainadjustingstudslotontheguidebar
(Figure3).
Youmayneedtorotatethechain-tensioningscrewtotthestudintotheslotontheguidebar(Figure16).
6.Installthesidecoverandbarcoverknobandlooselytightenthesidecoverbyturningtheknobclockwise.
