BeforeUsingthePoleSaw

Beforeusingthepolesaw,dothefollowing:

•Checkthechaintension;refertoAdjustingtheChainTension

(page12).

•Cleanthepolesawcomponents,inspectthemforexcessive

wearordamage,andreplacethemasneeded;referto

ServicingtheGuideBar,Chain,andDriveSprocket(page13).

•Checkthechainforsharpnessanddamage,andsharpenor

replaceasneeded;refertoSharpeningtheChain(page14).

•Checktheoillevel;refertoCheckingtheOilLevelandAdding

BarandChainOil(page11).

•Checkthepolesawfordamage,generalappearance,and

performance;ensurethattheswitchesmovefreely,thevents

andhandlesareclean,andthebarisnotbentordamaged.

2.Puttheloopoftheextensioncordthroughtheopeningat

thebottomofthehandlepolesection.

3.Positiontheloopoverthecordlockandpulltheendsofthe

loopuntilthecordissecuredinthelock.

4.Plugtheextensioncordintothetoolplugandensurethat

itisfullyseated.
