Operation

ChargingtheBattery

Chargethebatteryfor24hoursoruntilthechargelightonthecharger

isgreenbeforetherstuseandaftereachusethereafter.

Important:Alwayschargethebatteryaftereachuse.Storingthe

unitwithadischargedbatterywillreducethelifeofyourbattery.

Thislead-acidbatteryhasnomemoryanddoesnotneedtobe

fullydischargedbeforecharging.

1.Insertthechargeplugintothetrimmerreceptacle(Figure3).

Important:Useonlythechargersuppliedwiththetrimmer

oraTorochargerobtainedfromanAuthorizedToroService

Dealer.

2.Plugthechargerintoapoweroutlet.

Note:Thechargelightisredwhilethebatteryischarging;itturns

greenwhenthebatteryisfullychargedorwhenthetrimmeris

notconnected.

3.Chargethebatteryfor24hoursoruntilthechargelightturnsgreen.

4.Disconnectthechargerfromthepoweroutletandthetrimmer.

Note:Thechargelightisalwaysonwhenthetrimmerisconnected

tothechargerandtothepoweroutlet;itstaysonevenafterthe

batteryisfullycharged.

Pushinthesidebuttonandthenpullthetrigger(Figure4).

OperatingTips

Whenthetrimmerisrunning,thecuttingheadisspinning.

Ifyoucontactthecuttinglineorcuttinghead,youcouldbe

injured.

•Keepthecuttingheadawayfromyourfeetand

bystanders.

•Ensurethatthecuttingheadhasstoppedandthetrimmer

isunpluggedbeforeinvertingit.Donotstartthetrimmer

whenitisinverted.
