4.Insertthestringintotheanchorholeintheupperpartof

thespool(Figure20).Windthestringontothespoolinthe

directionshownbythearrowsonthespool.

5.Placethestringintheslotontheupperspoolange,leaving

about6inches(152mm)extendedbeyondtheslot.

Note:Donotoverll.Afterwindingthestring,thereshould

beatleast1/4inch(6mm)betweenthewoundstringand

theoutsideedgeofthespool.

6.Replacethespoolandthespoolretainer.Referto

allowittocoolbeforeplacingitbackintothetrimmer.

Usingthebatterywhenthereismoistureontheleadscancause

thetrimmertomalfunction.Allowthebatterytodryorwipeitdry

beforeplacingitbackintothetrimmer.

Usingthetrimmertocutthickgrassintemperaturesabove90
