PreparingtheBatteryPackFor
Recycling
WARNING
Uponremoval,coverthebatterypack'sterminalswith
heavy-dutyadhesivetape.Donotattempttodestroy
ordisassemblethebatterypackorremoveanyofits
components.Lithium-ionbatteriesmustberecycledor
disposedofproperlyatthenearestbatteryrecycling
facility.

Storage
•Cleanallforeignmaterialfromtheproduct.
•Storeitinawell-ventilatedplacethatisinaccessibleto
children.
•Keepawayfromcorrosiveagentssuchasgardenchemicals
andde-icingsalts.
•Usethestoragemodeonthebatterychargerifitwillbe
unusedfor1monthorlonger.RefertoChargingtheBattery
Pack(page9).
Troubleshooting
Usingthebatterywhenitishotcanreducetheoperatingtime.
Thebatterywillautomaticallystopworkingwhenitisoverheated
topreventdamagetoit.Removethebatteryfromthechargerand
allowittocoolbeforeplacingitbackintothetrimmer.
Usingthebatterywhenthereismoistureontheleadscancause
thetrimmertomalfunction.Allowthebatterytodryorwipeitdry
beforeplacingitbackintothetrimmer.
Usingthetrimmertocutthickgrassintemperaturesabove32°C
(90°F)mayreducetheruntime.Decreasethemotorspeedto
helpincreasetheoperatingtime;referto(StartingtheTrimmer
(page8).
Failingtocleardebrisfromthetrimmerheadventsandshaftmay
resultinreducedruntime.Thetrimmermayalsostopworking
whenitisoverheatedtopreventdamagetothetrimmer.Clear
debrisfromtheairventsonthemotorhousingandshaftandallow
thetrimmertocoolbeforeattemptingtousethetrimmeragain.

Ifitisdifculttoremovethebatteryfromthetrimmerorthe
charger,applysomedielectricgreasetothebatteryterminals.Do
notuseanyothertypeoflubricantasitcancausedamagetothe
terminals.RefertoRemovingtheBattery(page9).
