A.Powertoolplugsmustmatchtheoutlet.Nevermodify

thepluginanyway.Donotuseanyadapterplugswith

earthed(grounded)powertools.Unmodiedplugsand

matchingoutletswillreduceriskofelectricshock.

B.Avoidbodycontactwithearthedorgroundedsurfaces

suchaspipes,radiators,rangesandrefrigerators.There

isanincreasedriskofelectricshockifyourbodyisearthed

orgrounded.

C.Donotexposepowertoolstorainorwetconditions.Water

enteringapowertoolwillincreasetheriskofelectricshock.

D.Donotabusethecord.Neverusethecordforcarrying,

pullingorunpluggingthepowertool.Keepcordaway

B.Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareye

protection.Protectiveequipmentsuchasdustmask,

non-skidsafetyshoes,hardhat,orhearingprotectionusedfor

appropriateconditionswillreducepersonalinjuries.

C.Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensuretheswitchisinthe

off-positionbeforeconnectingtopowersourceand/or

batterypack,pickinguporcarryingthetool.Carrying

powertoolswithyourngerontheswitchorenergisingpower

4.Powertooluseandcare

A.Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertool

foryourapplication.Thecorrectpowertoolwilldothejob

betterandsaferattherateforwhichitwasdesigned.

B.Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturniton

andoff.Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththe

switchisdangerousandmustberepaired.

C.Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourceand/orthe

batterypackfromthepowertoolbeforemakingany

adjustments,changingaccessories,orstoringpower

tools.Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskof

startingthepowertoolaccidentally.

D.Storeidlepowertoolsoutofthereachofchildrenanddo

notallowpersonsunfamiliarwiththepowertoolorthese

instructionstooperatethepowertool.Powertoolsare

dangerousinthehandsofuntrainedusers.

Maintenance Service Oiling the Trimmer Blade Should this item need service, take the product to your Authorized Toro Service Dealer. Your Toro Dealer is specially trained to repair Toro products and will ensure that your Toro stays “All” Toro. Note: The trimmer blade should be oiled before and after each use. 1. Stop the motor and remove the battery. 2. Clean dirt and debris from the body of the hedge trimmer, using a damp cloth with a mild detergent.
