Thetrimmercomesfromthefactorywithacuttingswathof36.6cm(14inches)asshowninAofFigure15.

Refertothefollowinginstructionstoadjusttheswathto40.6cm(16inches)asshowninDofFigure15.

1.Removetheswathbladefromthebottomoftheguardbyremovingthe2screwsholdingitinplaceusing

theprovidedAllenwrench(BofFigure15)androtatetheswathblade180°.

2.Oncetheswathbladeisrotated,installitontotheguardusingthe2screwspreviouslyremoved(Cof

Figure15).

•Keepthetrimmertiltedtowardtheareabeingcut;

thisisthebestcuttingarea.

•Thestringtrimmercutswhenyoumoveitfromleft

toright.Thispreventsthetrimmerfromthrowing

debrisatyou.

•Usethetipofthestringtodothecutting;donot

forcethestringheadintouncutgrass.

•Wireandpicketfencescancausethestringto

wearrapidlyandevenbreak.Stoneandbrick

walls,curbs,andwoodcanalsocausethestring

towearrapidly.

•Avoidtreesandshrubs.Thestringcaneasily

damagetreebark,woodmoldings,siding,and

fenceposts.
