Important:Thebatterypackisnotfullycharged
whenyoupurchaseit.Beforeusingthetoolfor
thersttime,placethebatterypackinthecharger
andchargeituntiltheLEDdisplayindicatesthe
batterypackisfullycharged.Readallsafety
precautions.
Important:Chargethebatterypackonlyin
temperaturesthatarewithintheappropriate
range;refertoSpecications(page10).
Note:Atanytime,pressthebattery-charge-indicator
buttononthebatterypacktodisplaythecurrent
charge(LEDindicators).

Holdtheedgerwithyourrighthandontherear
handleandyourlefthandonthefronthandle.
Keeparmgripwithbothhandswhileinoperation.
Theedgershouldbeheldatacomfortableposition
withtherearhandleatabouthipheight.
Theedgerwilledgealongsidewalks,driveways,
owerbeds,curbs,andsimilarareas.
Cutatasteadypace.Ifthebladebeginstoslow
down,youareedgingtoofast;slowyourpace.Do
notforcethebladeintotheground.
Lightcontactofthebladeagainstthesidewalk
edge,curb,etc.,isacceptableandwillnotdamage
theedger.
T oachievethebestappearance,edgewhengrass
isdry.Edginginwetsoilorwetgrassareasmight
clogthebladeguardandresultinanuneven
edge.Ifthebladeguardbecomesclogged,stop
theedger,removethebatteryandremovedebris
fromthebladeguard.
