•Cleanthechainsawcomponents,inspectthemfor
excessivewearordamage,andreplacethemas
needed;refertoServicingtheGuideBar,Chain,
andDriveSprocket(page22).
•Checkthechainforsharpnessanddamage,and
sharpenorreplaceasneeded;refertoSharpening
theChain(page23).
•Checktheoillevel;refertoCheckingtheOilLevel
andAddingBarandChainOil(page19).
•Checkthechainbrake;refertoCheckingthe
ChainBrake(page20).
•Checkthechainsawfordamage,general
appearance,andperformance;ensurethatthe
switchesmovefreely,theventsandhandlesare
