Grounding Instructions Installing the Vacuum Bag A grounding wire is provided to help prevent static shock when using the vacuum in low humidity conditions. 1. Remove the sweeper nozzle and upper blower tube from the main housing by twisting and removing from main housing outlet. Adaptor See Figures 5 - 6. See Figure 4. Starting and Stopping Half Choke Full Choke See Figures 9 - 10. To start a cold engine: DO NOT squeeze the throttle trigger until the engine starts and runs. FULL FULL HALF HALF RUN RUN 1. Set the Powervac™ on a flat, bare surface. 2. Slowly press the primer bulb 8 times. Note: After the 8th press, fuel should be visible in the primer bulb. WARNING: Do not place blower on top of or near loose debris or gravel. Debris may be sucked into blower intake vent resulting in possible damage to the unit and could result in serious personal injury. 2. To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the center of a pile. 10. Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly washed cars, and blow debris safely away. 11. Use the sweeper nozzle so the air stream can work close to the ground. 12.
Vacuum Operation See Figure 14. WARNING: Never run the unit without the vacuum tubes and vacuum bag installed. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury. WARNING: Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1, along with hearing protection. Cleaning the Exhaust Port, Muffler, and Spark Arrestor See Figure 16. WARNING: Stop engine, remove spark plug boot, and allow engine and muffler to cool before replacing the spark arrestor. Contact with a hot muffler or engine could cause burns or other serious personal injuries. Note: Depending on the type of fuel used, the type and amount of lubricant used, and/or your operating conditions, the exhaust port, muffler, and/or spark arrestor screen may become blocked with carbon deposits.
Spark Plug Replacement See Figure 17. This engine uses a RCJ6Y or RCJ4 spark plug. Use an exact replacement every 25 hours or annually. 1. Remove the spark plug boot. 2. Loosen the spark plug by turning it counterclockwise with a socket. Spark Plug Boot 3. Remove the spark plug. 4. Inspect the new spark plug. The spark plug must be properly gapped and free of deposits in order to ensure proper engine operation. The correct gap is approximately 0.025 in. (0.64 mm).
HIGH ALTITUDE ENGINE OPERATION: Please have an authorized service center adjust this engine if it is to be run above 2000 feet. Failure to do so may result in poor engine performance and increased emissions. An engine adjusted for high altitudes can not be run at 2000 feet or lower. In doing so, the engine will overheat and cause serious engine damage. Please have an authorized service center restore high altitude modified engines to the original factory specification before operating below 2000 feet.

Nettoyage de l’orifice d’échappement, du silencieux et pare-étincelles Voir le figure 16. AVERTISSEMENT : Arrêter le moteur, retirer la coiffe de bougie et laisser refroidir le moteur et le pot d’échappement avant de remplacer le pare-étincelles. Tout contact avec un pot d’échappement ou un moteur chaud peut occasionner des brûlures ou des blessures graves.
Remplacement de la bougie Voir le figure 17. Ce moteur utilise une bougie RCJ6Y ou RCJ4 Champion. La bougie doit être remplacée toutes les 25 heures ou chaque année par une bougie identique. 1. Retirer le capuchon de la bougie. 2. Desserrer la bougie en la tournant vers la gauche, à l’aide d’une clé à douille. 3. Retirer la bougie. 4. Inspecter la nouvelle bougie. L’écartement de la bougie doit être vérifié et la bougie doit être exempte de dépôts pour que le moteur fonctionne correctement.
Fonctionnement du moteur à haute altitude Confier le moteur à un centre de réparations agréé si celui-ci doit être utilisé à une altitude supérieure à 609,6 m (2 000 pi). Ne pas suivre cette directive peut nuire au bon fonctionnement du moteur et augmenter les émissions. Un moteur qui a été réglé pour fonctionner à haute altitude ne peut être utilisé à 609,9 m (2 000 pi) ou moins. Ne pas respecter cette directive peut entraîner une surchauffe du moteur et l’endommager sérieusement.
DÉPANNAGE SI LES PRÉSENTES SOLUTIONS NE RÉSOLVENT PAS LE PROBLÈME, CONTACTER LE CENTRE DE RÉPARATIONS AGRÉÉ. PROBLÈME Le moteur ne démarre pas. CAUSE Pas de carburant dans le réservoir.
