OwnerResponsibilities
YoumustmaintainyourT oroProductbyfollowingthemaintenanceprocedures
describedintheOperator’sManual.Suchroutinemaintenance,whetherperformedby
adealerorbyyou,isatyourexpense.Partsscheduledforreplacementasrequired
maintenance(“MaintenanceParts”),arewarrantedfortheperiodoftimeuptothe
scheduledreplacementtimeforthatpart.Failuretoperformrequiredmaintenance
andadjustmentscanbegroundsfordisallowingawarrantyclaim.
GeneralConditions
AllrepairscoveredbythesewarrantiesmustbeperformedbyanAuthorizedT oro
ServiceDealerusingT oroapprovedreplacementparts.RepairbyanAuthorizedToro
ServiceDealerisyoursoleremedyunderthiswarranty.
TheToroCompanyisnotliableforindirect,incidental,orconsequential
damagesinconnectionwiththeuseoftheToroProductscoveredbythese
warranties,includinganycostorexpenseofprovidingsubstituteequipment
orserviceduringreasonableperiodsofmalfunctionornon-usepending
completionofrepairsunderthesewarranties.
Allimpliedwarranties,includingmerchantabilityandtnessforaparticular
purpose,arelimitedtothedurationoftheexpresswarranty.
Somestatesdonotallowexclusionsofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,or
limitationsonhowlonganimpliedwarrantylasts,sotheaboveexclusionsmaynot
applytoyou.
Thiswarrantygivesyouspeciclegalrights,andyoumayalsohaveotherrights
whichvaryfromstatetostate.
ItemsandConditionsNotCovered
Notallproductfailuresormalfunctionsthatoccurduringthewarrantyperiodare
defectsinmaterialsorworkmanship.Thisexpresswarrantydoesnotcoverthe
following:
•Costofregularmaintenanceorparts,suchasfuel,lubricants,blades,bearings,
belts,tines,debrisdeectorchain,wheels,tires,tri-hammers,j-hammers,
chipperknives,seals,bushings,clutches,pulleys,trimmerline,debrisshield,
linecutter,grips,shafts,springsandcables.
•Routinemaintenanceitemssuchasbatteries,lterelements,O-rings,seals,
lubricants,tune-ups,rotatingparts,accessorypartssuchashillerfurrowers,
edgerkits,dethatcherkits,manualcanister,batterybox,nyloncollectionbag,
collectionbagmounts,augers,extensions,shocktops,nylonpartsbagsand
heightadjustmentheads.
•Continueduseoftheproductafterasuddenchangeinvibrationorrunningthe
productbelowminimumoillevels.
•Componentsfailingduetonormalwear
•Anyproductorpartthathasbeenaltered,misused,neglected,requires
replacementorrepairduetoaccidentsorlackofpropermaintenance
•Pickupanddeliverycharges
•RepairsorattemptedrepairsbyanyoneotherthananAuthorizedToroService
Center
•Failuretofollowthefuelinginstructionsandrequirements(consulttheOperator's
Manualfordetails),suchas:
–Useofoldfuel(morethan1monthold)orfuelwhichcontainsmorethan
10%ethanolormorethat15%MTBE
–Failuretodrainthefuelsystempriortoanyperiodofnon-useover1month
–Improperfuel
•Repairsoradjustmentsduetothefollowing:
–Contaminantsinthefuelsystem
–Failuretoperformtherequiredmaintenanceand/oradjustments
–Improperstartingprocedures
•Productfailuresresultingfromtheuseofmodiedorunapprovedaccessories
ornon-Toroparts.
•Failurescausedbyoutsideinuence,including,butnotlimitedto,weather;
storagepractices;contamination;ortheuseofunapprovedcoolants,lubricants,
additives,orchemicals
•Claimsbysomeoneotherthantheoriginalownerorforaproductthathasnot
beenregisteredwithus.
CountriesOtherthantheUnitedStates,Mexico,orCanada
CustomerswhohavepurchasedToroproductsoutsidetheUnitedStates,Mexico,
orCanadashouldcontacttheirToroAuthorizedServiceCentertoobtainwarranty
policiesforyourcountry,province,orstate.Foradditionalquestionsregarding
warrantytermsandconditions,youmaycontactTheToroCompany.
AustralianConsumerLaw
OurgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcludedundertheAustralian
ConsumerLaw.Youareentitledtoareplacementorrefundforamajorfailureand
compensationforanyotherreasonablyforeseeablelossordamage.Y ouarealso
entitledtohavethegoodsrepairedorreplacedifthegoodsfailtobeofacceptable
qualityandthefailuredoesnotamounttoamajorfailure.
