Bagging the Clippings Use the grass bag when you want to collect grass and leaf clippings from the lawn. A worn grass bag could allow debris to be thrown and result in serious personal injury or death to the operator or bystanders. Check the grass bag frequently. If it is damaged, install a new Toro replacement bag.

Lift up the discharge deflector and look for 2 tabs in front of the plug (Figure 6). If you do not see them, firmly push the plug in until it snaps into place. 5. Lower the discharge deflector.
