1.Shutofftheengineandallowittocool
completely.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
3.Removethemachinefromthetowvehicle.
4.Securethemachinefrommovement.
5.Disconnectthespark-plugwire.
Disconnectingthe
Spark-PlugWire
Pullthespark-plugwireofftheterminalofthespark
plug(Figure33).

Ifyourmodelhasadividerplate,youmayneed
toremoveitbeforeperformingsomemaintenance
procedures:
1.Openthecowl.
2.Useawrenchtoremovethe4boltsthatsecure
thedividerplatetothefrontcowl.
Note:Retainthefastenersforinstallingthe
dividerplate.

InstallingtheDividerPlate
Whennishedperformingmaintenance,installthe
dividerplateasfollows:
1.Guidethedividerplateintopositionagainstthe
frontcowl.
Note:Startwiththedividerplaterotatedslightly
counterclockwise,andthenrotateitclockwise
whileloweringitintoposition.
Ensurethatthedividerplateisnotbackward.
