InstallingtheBelts
1.EnsurethattheclutchleverisintheOFFposition;
refertoControllingthePaddles(page19).
2.Aligntherearbelttothereargrooveinthemotor
pulley.
Note:Donotaligntherearbelttotheidlerpulley.
3.Aligntheforwardbelttotheforwardgrooveofthe
idlerpulley.
4.Sliptherearbeltovertheidlerpulleyandalignthebelt
totherearpulleygroove.
5.Sliptheforwardbeltoverthemotorpulleyandalign
thebelttotheforwardpulleygroove.
6.Checkthebelttension;refertostep1,step2,andstep
3inAdjustingtheBeltTension(page26).
7.Looselysecurethebeltguidetothemotor(Figure41)
withtheboltthatwasremovedinstep3ofRemoving
theBelts(page27).
8.Adjustthebeltguide;refertoAdjustingtheBeltGuide
(page28).
9.Installthedividerplate;refertoInstallingtheDivider
Plate(page23).

4.Iftheairgapisnotwithinthespeciedrange,dothe

A.Loosenthenutthatsecuresthebeltguidetothe
motor(Figure43).
Important:Ensurethatthebeltguideis
towardthemotorpulley.
B.Rotatethebeltguideupordownuntilthereis
anairgapof2.5to4.0mm(3/32to5/32inch)
betweentheguideandeachbelt(Figure43).
Important:Thebeltguideshouldnot
contactthebeltswiththeclutchleverinthe
ONposition.
Note:Iftheairgapbetweenthebeltguideand
bothbeltscannotbeattained,then1ofthebelts
istoolong.
C.Tightenthenutthatsecuresthebeltguidetothe
motor(Figure43).
D.Checktheclutchoperation;refertoCheckingthe
