Maintenance
WARNING
Failuretoproperlymaintainthemachinecouldresultinprematurefailureofmachinesystems,
causingpossibleharmtoyouorbystanders.
Keepthemachinewellmaintainedandingoodworkingorderasindicatedintheseinstructions.
Important:Refertoyourengineoperator'smanualforadditionalmaintenanceprocedures.
MaintenanceSafety
•Neverallowuntrainedpersonneltoservicethe
machine.
•Beforeperformingmaintenance,dothefollowing:
–Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
–Shutofftheengine,disconnectthespark-plug
wire,andwaitforallmovementtostopbefore
adjusting,cleaning,orrepairingthemachine.
–Allowtheenginetocoolbeforeperforming
maintenanceorstoringthemachine.
–Disengageallpowerandoperationcontrols.
•Keepyourhands,feet,andclothingawayfrom
movingparts.Ifpossible,donotmakeadjustments
withtheenginerunning.
•Neverlubricate,service,repair,oradjustthe
machinewhiletheengineisrunning.
•Keepallpartsingoodworkingconditionandall
hardwaretightened.Replaceallwornordamaged
decals.
•Shutoffthemachineandinspectitifanobject
entersthedrumorcausesanotherobstruction.
Makeallnecessaryrepairsbeforestartingthe
machine.
•Donottamperwithsafetydevices.
•Removeanybuildupofgrease,oil,ordebrisfrom
themachine.
•Keepequipmentmaterialsclearfromthemufer
andenginetopreventres.Cleanupoilorfuel
spills.
•Keepallhardwareandhoseclampssecurely
tightenedandallequipmentingoodworking
condition.
•Donotchangetheenginegovernorsettingor
overspeedtheengine.
•UseonlygenuineTororeplacementparts.

•Checktheclutchoperation

•Cleantheair-cleanerelements.Cleanthemmorefrequentlyindustyoperating
conditions.
