ServiceInterval:Every40hours
Important:Thepaddlesmustnotrotateinan
emptydrumwhentheclutchleverisintheOFF
position.
1.MovetheclutchlevertotheOFFposition.
2.Starttheengine.
3.Ifthepaddlesrotatewiththeclutchlevertothe
OFFpositiondothefollowing:
A.Shutofftheengine.
B.Checktheairgapbetweenthebeltguide
andthebelts.
Note:Iftheairgapislargerthan4.0mm
(5/32inch),decreasethegapbetweenthe
beltguideandthebelts;refertoAdjusting
theBeltGuide(page43).
4.Repeatsteps1through3untilallthefollowing
conditionsaremet:
Theengineisrunat2/3throttle.
TheclutchleverisintheOFFposition.
Thepaddlesdonotrotateinanemptydrum
whiletheengineisrunning.
AligningthePulleys
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandshut
offtheengine.
2.Allowthemachinetocool.
3.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug;referto
DisconnectingtheSpark-PlugWire(page28).
4.Removethedividerplate;refertoRemovingthe
DividerPlate(page28).
5.Placeastraightedgeacrossthefaceofthe
enginepulleyandidlerpulley(Figure66).
