Installation Instructions

DISASSEMBLY
1) All components should be separated and
thoroughly cleaned before re-assembly.
2) The bearing mount assembly should be
secured firmly in a press for component removal.
3) Press bearing out of bearing mount from the
back side. To reduce risk of damage to bearing,
press bearing on the outer race.
4) Support bearing by the inner race and press
shaft through.
5) Remove loctite residue from components using
Chisel Gasket Remover 790.
NOTE:
Although replacement components may
appear different from the original, all pieces are
interchangeable.
ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
1) Clean shaft (1) and inside bearing surface of
bearing (2) with Loctite Cleaning Solvent 755 or
equivalent.
2) Apply 1/16" bead of Loctite 609 around
perimeter of the shaft on the end without the
keyway (a), also place bead on the the internal
perimeter of the bearing on the setscrew end (b).
3) Insert shaft into bearing and counter rotate
parts as shaft is slid through bearing until the end
of shaft is flush with the back of bearing.
4) Allow 10 minutes setup time.
5) Clean contact area on the outside of bearing
and inside of bearing collar with Loctite 755 or
equivalent. Be sure surface is free of paint, grease
or other foreign material.
6) Apply 1/16" bead of Loctite 609 to contact area
of bearing about 1/8" in front (setscrew side) of
greaseway (c).
7) Insert bearing into collar and counter rotate
parts as bearing is slid until bottomed out in bearing
collar.
8) Allow assembly to cure for 10 minutes before
handling.
9) Insert snap ring (4) into snap ring groove.
10) Clean setscrews using Loctite 755, apply
Loctite Threadlocker 242 and install.
11) Install grease zerk.
