4.Assemblethefoamelementontothepaperlter
element(Figure19).
InstallingtheAirFilter
1.Wipecleanthedirtfromthecarburetorbaseandthe
insideofthecoverwithamoistrag(Figure19).
Note:Donotallowdirtanddebristoentertheair
ductleadingintothecarburetor.
2.Ensurethattherubbergasketisalignedandseated
ontothemountingbaseofthecarburetor(Figure19).
Note:Therubbergasketmightsticktothebottomof
theoldpaperlterelement.Removeitfromtheold
paperelementandinstallitontothecarburetor.
3.Alignthepaperlterelementwiththecarburetorand
ensurethatthehold-downrodofthecarburetorpasses
throughthetopplateofthelter(Figure19).
4.Securelytheltertothecarburetorwiththelterwing
nutandtightenitngertight(Figure19).
5.Aligntheair-ltercoverovertheairlterelementswith
thewiththehold-downrodofthecarburetorpassing
throughthetopcover(Figure19).
6.Securethecovertotheenginewiththecoverwingnut
andtightenitngertight(Figure19).

Setthethrottletoslow,stoptheengineandkeep
heat,sparks,andameaway.
Handlefuelonlyoutdoors.
Wipeupspillsimmediately.
Donotsmokewhilehandlingfuel.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Movethefuel-shutoffvalvetotheOffposition.
4.RemovethesedimentcupandO-ring(Figure6).
