6.Cleaningthefoamelement:
A.Washfoamelementinasolutionofliquidsoap
andwarmwater.
Note:Squeezetoremovedirt,butdonottwist
becausethefoammaytear.
B.Drybywrappinginacleanrag.Squeezeragand
foamelementtodry,butdonottwistbecausethe
foammaytear.
C.Saturateelementwithcleanengineoil.Squeeze
elementtoremoveexcessoilandtodistributeoil
thoroughly.
7.Cleaningthepaperelement:Tapthelterelement
severaltimesonahardsurfacetoremovedirt,orblow
compressedair(notexceeding2.07bar(30psi)through
thelterelementfromtheinside.Nevertrytobrush
offdirt;brushingwillforcedirtintothebers.
8.Installthefoamelement,paperelement,andair-cleaner
cover.
Important:Donotoperatetheenginewithoutthe
aircleanerelementbecauseextremeenginewear
anddamagewilllikelyresult
ChangingtheEngineOil
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours—Changethe
engineoil.
Every100hours—Changetheengineoil.

1.Startandrunengineforafewminutestowarmthe
engineoil,then,stoptheengine.
2.Haveafunnelreadytoplaceundertheoildrainplug,
removetheplugandplacethefunnelundertheplugto
guidetheoilintoacontainer(Figure22).
3.Installdrainplugandwipeawayexcessoilfromthe
machine.
4.Fillcrankcasewiththespeciedoil;refertoFigure6in
CheckingtheEngine-OilLevel(page12).
5.Disposeoftheoilproperly.Recycleasperlocalcodes.
