CleaningtheSedimentCup
ServiceInterval:Every100hours—Cleanthe
sedimentcup.
DANGER
Incertainconditions,fuelisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areor
explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcandamageproperty.
•Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,
whentheengineiscold.Wipeupanyfuel
thatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.
Addfueltothefueltankuntilthelevelis25
mm(1inch)belowthebottomoftheller
neck.Thisemptyspaceinthetankallows
fueltoexpand.
•Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwherefuel
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinanapprovedcontainerand
keepitoutofthereachofchildren.Donot
usefuelthathasbeenstoredformorethan
30days.
•Alwaysplacefuelcontainersontheground
awayfromyourvehiclebeforelling.
•Donotllfuelcontainersinsideavehicle
oronatruckortrailerbedbecauseinterior
carpetsorplastictruckbedlinersmay
insulatethecontainerandslowthelossof
anystaticcharge.
•Whenpractical,removefuel-powered
equipmentfromthetruckortrailerand
refueltheequipmentwithitswheelsonthe
ground.
•Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuch
equipmentonatruckortrailerfroma
portablecontainerratherthanfromafuel
dispensernozzle.
•Ifyoumustuseafuel-dispensernozzle,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimof
thefueltankorcontaineropeningatall
timesuntilfuelingiscomplete.
1.MovethefuelvalvetotheOFFposition,then
removethefuelsedimentcupandO-ring(Figure
22).

3.PlacetheO-ringinthefuelvalve,andinstallthe
sedimentcup(Figure22).
