UsingtheParkingBrake
WARNING
Failuretosettheparkingbrakewhenthemachineis
leftunattendedcouldcausedamagetothemachine

Alwayssettheparkingbrakebeforeleavingthe
machine.
Failuretodisengagetheparkingbrakebeforemoving
themachinemaycausedamagetotheparkingbrakeor
themachineorboth.Releasetheparkingbrakebefore
movingthemachine.

Important:Wheneverpossible,parkthemachineon
arm,levelsurface.
Important:Theplungerfortheparkingbrakemustbe
ontheagainstthesideofthedrumpadandthesurface
ofthedrum.
1.Setthemachinetomanualmode;refertoMovingthe

2.Settheengine-speedswitchtotheslow ,engine-speed
position,refertotheEngine-speedSwitch(page15).
3.Setthetravelspeedtotheslow-travel/vibration-off
position;refertotheTravel-speed/VibrationSwitch
(page15).
4.Usingthetractioncontrols,centertheparkingbrake
between2drumpads;refertotheTractionControls
(page16).
5.Pullthebrakeknoboftheparkingbrakeoutslightly
androtatetheknobapproximately90°clockwiseor
unittheplungerisreleased(Figure29).

untiltheplungerisrestingagainstthesideofthedrum

parkingbrakebymovingthemachineforwardor
backwardasfollows:
