ReplacingtheHydraulicFilter
RemovingtheHydraulicFilter
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours—Replacethe
hydrauliclter.
Every100hours—Replacethehydrauliclterorwhen
thehydraulic-ltergaugeindicatesCaution(yellow)or
ServiceFilter(red).
DANGER
Thebreather/capisdesignedtopressurizethe
hydraulictankto34.5kPa(5psi).Loosenthecap
slowlytoavoidinjurywheneveraddinguidor
maintainingthehydraulicsystem.
CAUTION
Beforedisconnectinganyhydrauliclines,besure
theengineisoffandrelieveallpressurefromthe
hydraulicsystem.
Important:Donotsubstituteanautomotiveoillteror
severehydraulicsystemdamagemayresult.

1.Opentherearhood;refertoOpeningtheHood(page
24).
2.Bleedthepressurefromthehydraulictankasfollows:
A.Placearagoverthehydraulictankbreather/cap,
andslowlyturnthecapcounterclockwiseto
removethebreather/cap(Figure74).
Note:Thetankpressurewillventtothe
atmosphere.

A.Removethe3hex-headboltsthatsecurethelter
covertothelterhousing(Figure74).
B.Removetheltercover,spring,lterelement,and
lterbowl(Figure74).
