Youcandrainthefueltankbyremovingitandpouring
thefueloutofthellneck;refertoRemovingtheFuel
Tank(page24).Youcanalsodrainthefueltankby
usingasiphoninthefollowingprocedure.
DANGER
Incertainconditions,fuelisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areor
explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcandamageproperty.
•Drainfuelfromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Neversmokewhendrainingfuelandstay
awayfromanopename,orwhereaspark
mayignitethefuelfumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,move
themotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCK
position,engagetheparkingbrake,andlower
thehopper.
2.Shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.Allow
theenginetocool.
3.Cleanaroundthefuelcaptopreventdebrisfrom
gettingintothefueltank(Figure30).
4.Removethefuelcap.
5.Insertasyphonpumpintothefueltank.
6.Usingthesyphonpump,drainthefuelintoa
cleanfuelcan(Figure30).
7.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
