GeneralSafety
•Parkmachineonlevelground,disengagedrives,
setparkingbrake,stopengine,andremove
key.Waitforallmovementtostopandallow
themachinetocoolbeforeadjusting,cleaning,
repairing,orstoring.Neverallowuntrained
personneltoservicemachine.
•CleanthemachineasstatedintheMaintenance
section.Keepengineandengineareafreefrom
accumulationofgrass,leaves,excessivegrease
oroil,andotherdebriswhichcanaccumulate
intheseareas.Thesematerialscanbecome
combustibleandmayresultinare.
•Frequentlycheckforwornordeteriorating
componentsthatcouldcreateahazard.Tighten
loosehardware.
UsingtheDrive-Wheel
ReleaseValves
Usethedrive-wheelreleasevalvestoreleasethe
hydrostaticdrivesystem,whichallowsyoutopushthe
machinewithouttherunningtheengine.
Rotateeachbypassvalvecounterclockwise1turnto
release;rotateeachbypassvalveclockwisetoreset
thesystem(Figure33).
Important:Donotovertighten.Donottowthe
machine.

TransportingtheMachine
Useaheavy-dutytrailerortrucktotransportthe
machine.Useafull-widthramp.Ensurethatthetrailer
ortruckhasallthenecessarybrakes,lighting,and
markingasrequiredbylaw.Pleasecarefullyreadall
thesafetyinstructions.Knowingthisinformationcould
helpyouorbystandersavoidinjury.Refertoyour
localordinancesfortrailerandtie-downrequirements.
