The machine does not drive The drive system is in bypass Check and set bypass to operational
mode
There is air in the system Follow procedure to ensure it is
properly purged of air
The oil is incorrect Replace the oil with the approved
type and quantity, purge the system
The hydraulic oil level is low or too
hot
Add hydraulic oil to the reservoir or
let it cool down
The machine vibrates
abnormally
The engine mounting bolts are loose Tighten the engine mounting bolts
The blades are damaged/incorrect Verify the condition and proper blade
application
A damaged deck belt Inspect and replace belts as needed
Transaxle is low on oil Add oil
The engine is running poorly Diagnose the run condition and
repair as needed
Hydraulic oil leaks from
machine
Fitting(s), hose(s) or tube(s) is (are)
loose or damaged
Tighten Fitting
O-Ring(s) or seal(s) is (are)
missing or damaged
Replace o-ring
Foaming hydraulic uid Oil level in hydraulic reservoir is low Refer to operator’s manual for
correct oil level
Hydraulic system has wrong kind of

Pump suction line has an air leak Check o-ring on suction line tting,
hose clamp, and input shaft seal on
pump

due to excessive load
Back off load
Oil level in hydraulic reservoir is low Add oil to system
Hydraulic oil is contaminated or too
light
Change oil, refer to Operator’s
Manual for correct viscosity
Engine speed is too low Verify proper engine RPM settings
on the Horizon Logic Display
Oil lter is plugged Change lter
Transaxle bypass valve is loosened
or damaged
Fully close bypass valve
