UsingtheWingDeckFold

WARNING
Thewingdecksareveryheavy.Liftingthe
wingdecksbyhandcouldresultinserious
injuryordeath.
Useliftingequipmenttoraiseorlowerthe
deckmanually.
Iftheenginelosespower,youcanmanuallyfoldor
unfoldthewingdecks.
Tofoldthewingdecks,dothefollowing:
1.Usinga1/8-inchAllenwrenchtoholdthe
setscrews,loosenthesealingnutsusinga
7/16-inchwrenchuntilthenutisushwiththe
endofthesetscrew(approximately6turns)as
showninFigure34.

2.Removethewrenchesandtightenthesetscrew
byhandapproximately4turns,untilyoufeela
slightresistance.
Continuetoturnbyhand1-1/2moreturnsto
unseattheload-holdingcheckvalves.
Important:Donottightenthesetscrews
beyondthispoint;otherwise,damagemay
occur.
3.Usinga1/8-inchAllenwrenchtoholdthe
setscrews,tightenthesealingnutsusinga
7/16-inchwrenchtothemanifoldbody.
4.Usingliftingequipmentwithatleasta227kg
(500lb)liftingcapacity,carefullypull1wing
deckoutward,thenupwardtofoldit.
Securethewingusingthetransport-lockpin.
5.Repeatthisprocedurefortheotherwingdeck.
Tounfoldthewingdecksandresetthewing-fold
valve,dothefollowing:
1.Usingliftingequipmentwithatleasta227kg
(500lb)liftingcapacitytoholdthewingdeck
up,removethetransport-lockpin,andcarefully
lowerthewingdeck.
2.Usinga1/8-inchAllenwrenchtoholdtheset
screws,loosenthesealingnutusinga7/16-inch
wrench(Figure34).
3.Loosenthesetscrewandturnitapproximately
6times.
4.Usinga1/8-inchAllenwrenchtoholdtheset
screws,torquethesealingnutsto10N∙m(8
ft-lb)usinga7/16-inchwrenchtothemanifold
body.
