1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch,andengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Rotatethehoodforward.
4.Drainthecoolantwhentheengineiscool.
5.Removetheradiatorcap,placeapanunder
theradiator,andremovethedrainplugatthe
bottomoftheradiator.
6.Removethecoolanthosefromtheoilcoolerand
drainthecoolantfromtheengineblock(Figure
59).

9.Operateengineuntiltheenginethermostat
opensandthecoolantiscirculatingthroughthe
radiatorcore.
Asairpurgesfromtheengineblockandthe
coolantleveldrops,addadditionalcoolanttothe
radiator.
10.Whentheradiatoriscompletelyfullandno
additionalcoolantcanbeadded,continue
runningandinstalltheradiatorcap.
Ensurethatthecapiscompletelyseatedby
pressingdownrmlywhileturning,untilthecap
stops.Oncethecapisinstalled,shutoffthe
engine.
