Safety-InterlockIndicators
Therearesymbolsonthehourmeterandtheyindicate
withablacktrianglethattheinterlockcomponentisin
thecorrectposition(Figure6).
Fuel-ShutoffValve
Closethefuel-shutoffvalve(underthehopper)when
transportingorstoringthemower.
PTO-EngagementLever
UsethePTO-engagementlevertoengagetheblades
andtheblower.Pulltheleveruptoengagetheblades
andblower.T odisengagethebladesblower,pushthe
PTO-engagementleverdown.
BatteryIndicatorLight
WhenyouinitiallyturntheignitionkeytotheRUN
positionforafewseconds,thebatteryvoltage
displaysintheareawherethehoursnormallydisplay.
Thebatterylightturnsonwhentheignitionisturned
onandwhenthechargeisbelowthecorrectoperating
level(Figure6).
Engine-Oil-TemperatureLightand
Buzzer
Theengine-oil-temperaturelightmonitorsthe
temperatureoftheengineoil.Anilluminated
engine-oil-temperaturelightandintermittentbuzzing
soundsignalstheengineisoverheating.
Electronic-Control-Unit
Malfunction-IndicatorLight
Theelectronic-controlunit(ECU)continuously
monitorstheoperationoftheEFIsystem.
Ifthesystemdetectsaproblemorfault,the
malfunction-indicatorlight(MIL)illuminates.
TheMILislocatedintherightconsolepanel.
IftheMILilluminates,performtheinitial
troubleshootingchecks;refertotheMILsectionin
Troubleshooting(page62).
Ifthesechecksdonotcorrecttheproblem,further
diagnosisandservicingbyanAuthorizedService
Dealerisnecessary.
