Thejackshaftmountingboltshavebeenloosened
orthejackshafthasbeenmovedorreplaced.
1.Stopthemachineandmovethespeed-control
levertotheNEUTRALposition.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,
shutofftheengine,andwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
3.Removethefuel-tankmountingnutsandswing
outthefueltank.
4.Verifythattheblowerisinstalledandtightly
secured.
5.Loosenthe4enginemountingbolts.
6.Unhookthepump-belttensionspring.
7.Loosenthe4jackshaftmountingbolts.
8.Measuringfromtheblowerpulleyasabaseline,
movetheengineandjackshaftuntiltherear
surfaceofall3pulleysarealignedwithin0.8to
1.6mm(1/32inchto1/16inch)(Figure58).
