1.Movethespeed-controllevertotheNEUTRAL
positiontostopthemachine.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,
shutofftheengine,andwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
3.Carefullycleantheareaaroundthelter.
Important:Ensurethatnodirtor
contaminationenterthehydraulicsystem.
4.Unscrewandremovethelterandallowtheoil
todrainfromthereservoir.
Important:Donotchangethehydraulic
systemoil(exceptforwhatcanbedrained
whenchangingthelter),unlesstheoilhas
beencontaminatedorbeenextremelyhot.
Changingthehydraulicuidunnecessarily
coulddamagethehydraulicsystemby
introducingcontaminatesintothesystem.
5.Beforeinstallingthenewlter,llitwithToro
®
HYPR-OIL
500hydraulicuidandapplyathin
coatofoilonthesurfaceoftherubberseal.
6.Turnthelterclockwiseuntiltherubberseal
contactsthelteradapter,thentightenthelter
anadditional2/3to3/4turn.
7.FillthereservoirasstatedinCheckingthe
HydraulicFluid(page52).
8.Raisetherearofthemachineupandsupportit
withjackstands(orequivalentsupport)justhigh
enoughtoallowdrivewheelstoturnfreely.
9.Starttheengineandmovethethrottlecontrolto
theFULL-THROTTLEposition.
10.Movethespeed-controlleverstothefull-speed
positionandrunthemachineforseveral
minutes.
11.Shutoffthemachineandchecktheoillevel.
