IgnitionSwitch
Theignitionswitchhas3positions:OFF,RUN,andSTART.
ThekeywillturntoSTARTandmovebacktoRUNupon
release.TurningthekeytotheOFFpositionwillshutoff
theengine;however,alwaysremovethekeywhenleaving
themachinetopreventsomeonefromaccidentallystarting
theengine(Figure5).
Throttle/ChokeControl
Thethrottleandchokearecombinedinto1control
lever.Thethrottlecontrolstheenginespeedandhasa
continuous-variablesettingfromtheSLOWpositiontothe
FASTposition.Engagethechokebymovingtheleverpast
theFASTsettinguntilitstops(Figure5).
Itmaybenecessarytoholdtheleveragainstthestop,inthe
chokeposition,whiletryingtostarttheengine.
Note:Awarmorhotenginemaynotrequirechoking.
Blade-ControlSwitch(PowerTakeoff)
Theblade-controlswitch,representedbyapowertake-off
(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengagespowertothemower
blades(Figure5).
