switchtotheOFFposition(Figure12).
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheFASTposition.
3.TurntheignitionkeytotheOFFpositionandremove
thekey.
DrivingtheMachine
Drivingthemachinebenetsfromanunderstandingof
whatzero-turn-radiusmowermeans.Thedrivewheelsturn
independently,poweredbyhydraulicmotorsoneachaxle;
hence1sidecanturninreversewhiletheotherturnsforward,
causingthemachinetospinratherthanturn.Thisvastly
improvesthemachinemaneuverabilitybutmayrequiresome
adjustmentifyouareunfamiliar.

Themachinecanspinveryrapidly.Youmaylose
controlofthemachineandcausepersonalinjuryor
damagetothemachine.
•Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
•Slowthemachinedownbeforemakingsharp
turns.
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedasmeasured
inrpm(revolutionsperminute).Placingthethrottlecontrol
intheFASTpositioncanbebestforperformance.Formost
applications,operatethemachineinthefull-throttleposition.
