•Cleanthemower-deckhousing.

•Greaseallthelubricationpoints.
•Checktirepressure.
•Checkthebeltsforwearorcracks.
Every50hours
•Replacetheair-cleanerpaperelement.
•Checkthesparkplug.
Every100hours
•Changetheengineoil(moreoftenunderaheavyloadorinhightemperatures).
•Changetheengine-oillter(moreoftenindirtyordustyconditions).
•Replacethesparkplug.
•Removeandcleantheblowerhousingandanyothercoolingshrouds(moreoften
underextremelydusty,dirtyconditions).
•Checkthein-linefuellter.

•Chargethebatteryanddisconnectthebatterycables.

•Paintanychippedsurfaces.
CAUTION
Ifyouleavethekeyintheswitch,someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengineandseriously
injureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromtheswitchbeforeyouperformanymaintenance.

•Beforerepairingthemachinedothefollowing:
–Disengagethedrives.
–Engagetheparkingbrake.
–Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
–Disconnectthespark-plugwire.
•Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunit,
drives,mufers,andenginetohelppreventres.
•Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
•Donotallowuntrainedpersonneltoservicethe
machine.
•Usejackstandstosupportthemachineand/or
componentswhenrequired.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswith
storedenergy.
•Disconnectthebatteryorremovethespark-plug
wirebeforemakinganyrepairs.Disconnectthe
negativeterminalrstandthepositiveterminal
last.Connectthepositiveterminalrstand
negativelast.
•Usecarewhencheckingtheblades.Wrapthe
blade(s)orwearthicklypaddedgloves,anduse
