Replaceabladeifithitsasolidobject,ifthebladeisoutof
balance,orifthebladeisbent.Forbestperformanceand
continuedsafetyconformanceofthemachine,usegenuine
Tororeplacementblades.Replacementbladesmadebyother
manufacturersmayresultinnon-conformancewithsafety
standards.
1.Holdthebladeendusingaragorthicklypaddedglove.
2.Removethebladebolt,curvedwasher,andbladefrom
thespindleshaft(Figure49).

Important:Thecurvedpartoftheblademust
pointupwardtowardtheinsideofthemowerto
ensurepropercutting.
2.Installthecurvedwasher(cuppedsidetowardthe
blade)andthebladebolt(Figure49).
3.Torquethebladeboltto47to88N·m(35to65ft-lb).
LevelingtheMowerDeck
Ensurethatthemowerdeckislevelanytimeyouinstallthe
mowerdeckorwhenyouseeanunevencutonyourlawn.
Checkthemowerdeckforbentbladespriortoleveling;
removeandreplaceanybentblades;refertoCheckingfor
BentBlades(page38)beforecontinuing.
Levelthemowerdeckside-to-sidebeforeadjustingthe
front-to-rearslope.
Requirements:
•Themachinemustbeonalevelsurface.
•All4tiresmustbeproperlyinated;refertoChecking
theTirePressure(page37).
LevelingfromSidetoSide
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothePARK
position,shutofftheengine,removethekey,and
waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Settheheight-of-cutlevertomiddleposition.
4.Carefullyrotatetheblade(s)sothattheyareallsideto
side(Figure52andFigure53).
