springloadedandinthedownposition.Lift
thedeectoruptotestthatitsnapstothe
fulldownposition.
Cleaning
WashingtheUndersideof
theMowerDeck
ServiceInterval:Aftereachuse—Cleanthe
mower-deckhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithamild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthe
machine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
nearthecontrolpanel,undertheseat,aroundthe
engine,hydraulicpumps,andmotors.
Washtheundersideofthemowerdeckaftereachuse
topreventgrassbuildupforimprovedmulchaction
andclippingdispersal.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch(PTO),andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Attachthehosecouplingtotheendofthe
mowerwashouttting,andturnthewateron
high(Figure76).
Note:Spreadpetroleumjellyonthewashout
ttingO-ringtomakethecouplingslideon
easierandprotecttheO-ring.
