InspectingtheBelts
ServiceInterval:Every25hours—Checkthebeltsforwear
orcracks.
Checkthebeltsforcracks,frayededges,burnmarks,orany
otherdamage.Replacedamagedbelts.
ReplacingtheMowerBelt
Thesignsofawornbeltincludesquealingwhilethebeltis
rotating,bladesslippingwhilecuttinggrass,andfrayededges,
burnmarks,andcracksonthebelt.Replacethemowerbeltif
anyoftheseconditionsareevident.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothePARK
position,shutofftheengine,removethekey,and
waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Settheheight-of-cutatthelowestcuttingpositionof
38mm(1-1/2inches).
4.Removethepulleycovers(Figure62).
